About ELLIPSE

ELLIPSE - an online program for suicide prevention for students in higher education in five countries in Europe (Sweden, Norway, Austria, Hungary and Poland)..Blekinge Region in southern Sweden is the coordinator of the ELLIPSE project. E-learning will be developed by the professionals, users, expert-INs and students during the next three years. To take part in co-creating it just express your interest for participating in its development personally, via our website or via mail.

Project ELLIPSE is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.

  • Anna Baran SE: Region Blekinge More info Anna Baran: MD, PhD, MBA. Psychiatrist. Suicidologist. Chairperson of the Media Group at the Working Group on prevention of suicide and depression at the Public Health Council at Ministry of Health, Poland. Expert in Working Group on Suicide Prevention in Blekinge Region. Co-author of three handbooks in suicide prevention: for media professionals, for people that are interviewed in media and for the moderators and administrators of the internet networks.   • Caroline Karlsson SE: Region Blekinge More info Caroline Karlsson, Blekinge Kompetenscentrum, accountant. Region Blekinge är koordinator för Erasmus+ projekt ELLIPSE. She has been working in Blekinge region since 6 years ago. Interests: to spend time with family and friends, exercise, cooking and traveling.
  • Maiellen Stensmark SE: Spes Blekinge More info Maiellen Stensmark. Teacher in Spanish Language. Social worker/community planner, aroma- and acupressure masseur. She is a Chairperson of non-profit organizataion, SPES Blekinge, since 2010. Author of a book (2015) about sorrow, the relation to a daughter and her suicide in at the age of 21, 2004. She writes a blog in suicide prevention. Interests: dance, swimming, sailing, art and nature.
  • Jessica Nivebro Lindberg SE: Spes Blekinge More info Jessica Nivebro Lindberg. A board member of SPES Blekinge. She has worked in social and medical care all her life, with the elderly and with people who need disability support. She and her husband are family home for children and adolescents that society needs to place in shelter. She has lost her son in suicide. Interests: family, walking in the forest.

The CEO and founder of LFSS with 44 years of personal experience with suicide issues, in addition to many years of experience as a next of kin. She is certified as a psychiatric nurse and have worked more than a decade with cancer patients and people in crisis.
